Miss Deborah Weston.

My dear lady!

With great regard I confess to you the information of my undertaking which I thought to be the best and suitable way in writing.

I would speak to the Doctor of my affair, but on account of his absence I give my confidence to you.

I kept company with Elmira Thurston since II years have chosen her for my wife and intent to marry her a week from to morrow.

I propose not to make other arrangement in reference of my wager. I will board here in the house and be willing to stay in your employment as long you like one to have.

According to the law for giving a home or a stay, I respectfull ask you if you would be willing to let us have a little apartment in the other house.

I guaranty for uprightly housekeeping.

??? hope that Mrs Weston and all of the family are favorable of my design, remain I truly your faithfull servant.
